Sea buckthorn jam
215 g
If you haven’t tried our sea buckthorn jam yet, you’re missing out. Sea buckthorn are fiery yellow berries, soft and juicy with a slightly sour taste. For our sea buckthorn jam, we’ve only selected the very best berries and made a truly fresh spread that is wonderful on bread, in baking, drinks or paired with rich cheeses.
Small berries packing a mighty punch
Although small in size, sea buckthorn berries pack a nutrient punch. These orange berries contain more vitamin C than oranges and are one of the only plant foods to offer vitamin B12 as well as all four omega fatty acids. They grow mostly in cooler climates such as Northern Europe and can be difficult to harvest due to the many thorns protecting the berries.
A fresh and tangy sea buckthorn jam to delight your palate
When eaten raw, sea buckthorn berries have quite a sour, tangy taste that doesn’t appeal to many. That’s why they’re often mixed with something sweeter to create versatile syrups, juices, and jams. Fresh and tangy, Bangs’ sea buckthorn jam is a truly versatile spread: smother it over scones, toast or waffles, use it to make a delicious cake or swirl it over vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert – oh, and it’s an absolute must on the cheeseboard as it goes well with goat cheese and other richer cheeses.
High in fruit content with only natural preservatives
Our sea buckthorn jam is high in fruit and free from artificial preservatives – we much prefer to preserve our tasty jam with sugar instead for an authentic, all-natural flavor. It is made in the EU to ensure high safety and quality standards. The shelf life of the jam before opening is 18 months from production date, and after opening it will last 14 days in the refrigerator at 5 °C.
